Indianapolis AboutMy name is Dagny Colgan and I am currently attending IUPUI (third semester), majoring in Computer Information Technology. I love computers, and most of my hobbies relate to them in some way (besides knitting, which is pretty much the only thing). By my senior year my high school ran out of computer classes for me to take, so I went to the McKenzie Career Center and took their A+ Certification class (being one of only two girls was pretty cool, we got to boss the boys around). At the end of the year I took the A+ Core Hardware and the A+ Core Operating Systems exams; I am happy to say I passed them both and am A+ Certified, something I am overly proud of (: Going back to my hobbies, I love graphics and website design. Just give me Notepad and leave the rest to me. Most of the time I create websites and graphics for no reason other than just to make them, although sometimes I make layouts and things for friends. Career InterestsComputer Technician, Network Administrator, Security, Web Designer, Computer Teacher, Computer ForensicsInternship InterestsI would be interested in any internship related to my field of study, from technical support to networking to website design and management. As long as there are computers involved I'm there.Teaching InterestsTeaching is not something I would want as a life-long career, but I would not mind teaching computer classes to middle or high school students for a short time. Basic computer applications would be OK, but I would really love to teach computer graphics and/or web design.
